Consultant (Manufacturing Process Improvement) Medical * Healthcare Sector, Cambridgeshire
To apply your technical and commercial experience to lead challenging and often complex manufacturing process improvement projects for clients in the Medical Devices industry.
The Process Improvement Practice focuses on the provision of high quality scale up and yield improvement programmes for manufacturing industries principally concentrating on Medical Devices including:
Invasive medical devices Diagnostic devices Drug delivery Our client?s consulting activities are centred primarily in the UK and Northern Europe, and the USA, and although there will be some requirement to travel, the work is primarily done in the Cambridgeshire office.
Consultants work on client assignments in multidisciplinary project teams, often on more than one project and in different team roles. You will be recruited to act as a project manager. In addition, you will be required to work as a consultant as a member of project teams, alongside consultants and analysts. Responsibilities will include:
Formulating approaches to process improvement to meet specific client requirements Project managing process improvement projects and programmes, probably in medical devices Delivering process improvement strategy reports to senior management Flexibility in taking on any other assignments, due diligence and assessing manufacturing capabilities
An excellent degree in engineering, ideally mechanical. Further qualifications in manufacturing would be an advantage A minimum of five years post graduate industrial experience working in process development and scale up in manufacture of medical devices Excellent track record in problem solving A working knowledge of analytical process improvement techniques such as Lean Manufacturing Project management experience essential Working knowledge and experience of the regulatory environment in the EU and USA Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills Our client is committed to developing its employees? careers and has a flexible policy for individual?s capabilities and preferences.
